A grill running on high consumes approximately 2 pounds of pellets per hour—this is the temperature you would have it on to cook burgers or steaks. For the smoke setting, your unit will consume about a half-pound per hour, so a 10-hour smoking session would require approximately 5 pounds of wood pellets.
